ITT: Drop event flyers. Adding a short description of what to expect music genre wise is a good thing, too.
On pic related:
>Are you tired of mainstream? You want to go outside and break all the rules? Does heavy experimental sound like Drum 'n' Bass, Jungle, Hard DnB, Breakcore make your heart beat faster?>If you answered these questions with 'yes', then you are right here.
>Come join us when the system gets fractured!
>We all deserve some high quality music to escape the world for a little moment - this is exactly what we want. All that in an amazing, dark atmospheric location called Arena Club, accompanied by a massive, high-resolution d&b audiotechnik soundsystem.
I want to see Christoph De Babalon
This is tomorrow. I might actually go to this.
Are there many events like this in Berlin? I just moved here so it's hard to find.
Jesus christ, Christoph De Babalon is still around? How?
Cool that this thread has gotten a few replies. Here are some flyers for events in Berlin that will take place today.>>1608
Such events take place quite regularly. Just keep an ear on the ground. I'm going to post a few links tomorrow.>>1609
For the same reasons for which Alec Empire is still around? I don't know, ask him.>>1607
A few weeks ago he also played at the Paloma bar, near Kottbusser Tor.
Woah, end.user, I need to move to Berlin!
Before you do that make sure that you have a high enough income. Thanks to gentrification Berlin isn't that cheap anymore.
Why are the names struck out?
Monster X was also the name of the only ideologically straight edge death metal band I ever heard of (as in, they not only refrained from drugs but also wore it on their sleeves like a punk band, hence the X in their name).
No relation, I presume.
I posted it two days before the even because that's when I came across it.
Ah, true. Wtf am I smoking?
This looks nice, I'd certainly go there. Looks like a festival even going for 3 days.
Good old 90s Raves are the best. The old sound certainly has a bit of a comeback lately, sometimes even with some vapor influences like I Hate Models. Great stuff.
laurent ho was pretty sick back in the days, this live is still one of my favourite hardcore CDshttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0EfW_Eb-b5w
Where's the second image's logo from? The one with the moth.
Just visit the page on FB to find out.
Well, you care enough to post your opinion here.
looks like it's all going down in Berlin, huh?
It's the "capital city of Electronic Music", after all.
People travel to Berlin just to get denied entrance to Berghain, after 4 hours of waiting in line. And they are proud of it zez. So yeah Berlin is a big deal.
Some events posted here don't even take place in Germany (or in meatspace at all), but, yes, it's almost only flyers for parties in Berlin. I wonder why's that.>>2094
I've never waited more than 30 minutes to get into Berghain and it's been only two times, I've attended that venue. Sad souls are those who are willing to wait more than 15 minutes to get into a club. Berlin still has more to offer than that overrated concrete block which had its best nights a long time ago.
Suppose I am in Berlin from 22-27 October. Suggest any events or clubs for that time period. Dont know where else to ask.>>2096
I'm gonna try going to Berghain for the first time Alice. Since you are so keen to dismiss the place, do you know of an alts?
>>2130>22-27 October. Suggest any events or clubs for that time period
You might get a reply not until mid October on that. If you want to give Berghain a try, go for it. Maybe you're going to like it more than me and I don't say it's bad. It's just that alot of the old spirit is gone, you know. If the doorman rejects you and you don't know where else to go, it's only you who's to blame. Here are some alternatives: Griessmuehle, aboutblank, Tresor, Menschmeier, Sysiphos. Also, keep the event's name and a bit of the lineup in your mind when you hit da club. You might get asked about that at the door.
Ah, thank you so much Alice. I'll look all these options up, I trust your judgement.
This means a lot for my first time in Berlin, I'm very grateful.
Take care when you visit Berlin. Watch your pockets and be prepared to say 'no' quick and clearly. Be careful with whom you hang around, too. I grew up in Berlin and to me barely something bad has happened but that's because I was mostly a gamer, I'm generally a cautious person and I live more than long enough in that town to have it's pulse inside me so that I can intuitively avoid trouble when I sense it.
Correction: It starts at 14:00.
Is this the where the Techno Viking is from?
Why are they closing?
They're going to play Electro, Breaks, Tekno, Acid, Drum&Bass and Breakcore at that avent, btw.
What is the minimal age for this?
18 in germany. Some organisers raise it to 21 or so to keep out annoying kids, but it's rare to see that, especially at underground parties.
Pic related, any demosceners here?
I have a 16 year old friend, any way I get him in?
by law 16 is ok until 24:00.. Some venues kick people out then, some don't care. I'd guess in berlin they are pretty tolerant but it's no guarantee, some can be really strict too.
Depends on the venue. There's probably a doorman at JamesJune. There's a chance that they won't give too much of a fuck, though, since the event is indeed pretty underground. If you're underage, consider what >>2402
suggests but keep in mind that it takes a while until the party seriously takes off. The venue won't be filled much with people until at least one o'clock in the night. It's simply the way it is in Berlin. Have a nice, black weekend, mate.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oyUKTxeIGLU
The event's date is 22nd February, btw.
To find out the club's location, visit following page: http://www.void-club.de/
>Drum 'n' Bass, Jungle, Hard DnB, Breakcore
Sounds so appealing. What a shame I'm always missing out on something awesome.
fuck. i missed this.
It feels like this whole thread is nothing but berlin, are there many non-berlin event spaces people can mention? Even witchhouse stuff in America would probably be interesting to me.
South america to be more specific
It's probably because there's just one person in Berlin that, both, knows about events in Berlin and bothers with arisuchan at the same time. Obscurity is a blessing and a curse, I guess.
Even if it is just Berlin, this is one of my favorite threads here.>>2558
Is there even a flyer culture in SA? I barely have friends to know about what is going on but i never saw an event flyer all my life here.
Looks like all the venues closed in Berlin…
Nope, people are just too lazy to post flyers. Maybe there's some legitimacy in your concern post, though. Living in this town, it feels like we are at the endgame in terms of underground nightlife. There are few venues left that are worth visiting and it's only a matter of time until the last tiny bit of Berlin's clubbing scene has disappeared. So don't complain, look out for posters and flyers and go out while you can. Oh, and Berlin has more to offer than Berghain, btw.
Is it laziness or do promoters assume their job is done because they posted on FaceTwitter? Maybe that is laziness too though, or being cheap.
