Crypto altcoins thread? Personally I think crypto is the future. No more centralization, no more states fucking you in the ass.
I also don't want to become a wage slave so I hope to make it thanks to crypto. Life is too short to not do what you like.
What cryptocurrencies have you invested in anons? What are you bullish on?
It would be cool that we all make it.
Personally I am extremely bullish on Bitbay. I missed the Ethereum train but I think Bitbay will be the next moon mission in 2018. It is the sole working decentralized marketplace and trustless contracting platform while fixing many BTC flaws and planning to have a decentralized peg that brings price stability by preventing volatility, especially from whales shady manipulation. The price is still fucking low (23m market cap) so there is a lot of growth potential. For instance, to have a x2 ROIs with ETH, it would need 30 fucking billions of dollars, while with bitbay it would only need 23m. It is far more likely in the latter for this very reason.
Pics related why I am bullish on it. It has both mainstream and darknet potential.

I'll humor you with the bags I'm holding
>omg
>qtum
>expanse
>ark (only thing here not at a loss fucking kill me)
>maidsafe
>bitbay
>rdd
>bat

Got eth/btc besides that, all in all my crypto portfolio is profitable in terms of fiat, but in terms of btc value it's down -15% after the recent "altcrash". Only 33% of my portfolio is BTC (more like 40% after altcoins crashed, and ETH is ~15%) which makes me a little worried, but I'm waiting for a big dip to put in a lot of fiat. Holding eth till some kind of pump after the update.

I've learned a lot since acquiring those bags though so I guess it's not all that bad.

>bitbay
Smart arisunon right there.
Anyway Bitcoin is a soykafcoin. It is centralized by chinese mining mafias and is literally technologically depreciated compared to altcoins innovations.

>ark

Are you not scared? It is fucking written in javascript and its tx processing speed is atrocious.

>qtum

Patrick Dai of qtum is a scammer. He scammed bitbay in the past but deny it while David, the main dev of Bitbay confirms it is true and I trust David as he is a man of ethics. His associates were apparently scammers too. I would be careful with that coin.

>ETH tokens

Let me warm you that ETH is a ticking bomb. It uses PoW like Bitcoin so it has the same problems than it. It is also more difficult to parse. And, the worst of the worst is that it is fucking bloated to death.
Look: https://etherscan.io/chart/chaindatasizefull
Right now a full node is fucking 350gb and its growth rate keeps getting faster.
This will lead to two options: either it will crash at some point, either it will get centralized.

Anyway I wish you luck anon. My only tip is to buy the dip of bitbay. It will moon in 2018. I am sure of it.

To develop more on BTC flaws on why it is depreciated: it has an extremely slow tx processing and is an enormous waste of energy/ressources so it is not viable. Also it literally has 0 features except being a currency. At least ETH brought DAPP programming even if it is soykaf.

>bitcoin trash
You might be right but I'm in this for the money. And that's where the money is at, and that's where I'm banking it will be in the near future.

>ETH

I'm still gonna wait after metropolis to see what I'm doing with it, Vitalik was talking about semi-centralizing stuff, again, might be against the point of crypto but if that's where the money goes count me on board.

>Ark

I'm a programmer and refactoring is infinitely easier than designing the code in the first place. If they get all they're supposed to get to work, I don't think it'll make a difference if it's slow. I think of this as investing in tech and not necessarily in a user experience. They could write it in minecraft redstone switches for all I care.

>Qtum

Yeah I got qtum & expanse on rumors, they went up 20%, and then I was without internet for a week and forgot to sell them. Qtum might have some steam in its scam train so whatever.

>Everything else

When I got them I kind of had the illusion they're going somewhere, I still think BAT & RDD are going to be things, BAT is an actual product that's improving, and RDD is STEEM for normal people, and STEEM seems to be doing well. MAID lays ever silent but it still exists so whatever. Bitbay has soykaf marketing you have to agree with me, a google search of the name shows some soykafty exchange as the first result that HAD to have impact on its value.

Not gonna invest in any altcoins in the near future, it's just not fun for me. What I'm trying to do is make some TA tools&bots for myself, that has more correlation with my skill set.

I get your reasoning. Although my comment is that, even if there is money to make, pushing flawed projects will delay real money because real money will happen only when crypto will get widely adopted and used by everyone, and this can't be done with flawed projects that are not viable for this task.

Regarding bitbay's marketing I agree but recently they are getting their soykaf together because they hired new guys and are starting real marketing work.
Although it is still problematic that the polish exchange of the same name shows up first. They are working on it to change that. I still am bullish because the tech is too good, so is the roadmap too and they are getting started in marketing.

Good luck arisu.

OP, I don't know which pump-and-dump discord/telegram/slack you're from, but please keep your shilling outside of arisuchan. You'll ruin the mood.

Plus I saw the exact goddamn same post you made on Sushichan. You fucks already ruined /biz/, don't ruin my indie chans too.

>pump and dump
Now we can't talk crypto on the finance an economics board?
It is a crypto general thread and I just explained what coin I liked but others are free to discuss their coins and all.
You are the one ruining it by thinking sushichan and arisuchan is your personal safe space.
My post did not violate any rules and it was properly related to the board I posted it on. I even had a discussion with an arisunon until you came whining like a child.

I am not from any pump and dump place. I hate pump and dump. Your name calling is childish. If you have nothing to say on crypto go away.

I warned you at 0.02$ and now bitbay is at 0.3$. I was right and yet you accused me as filthy pump and dumper. Not cool Arisu, not fucking cool.

I was about to soykaf on you because literally every altcoins went up for the past couple of days, but then I checked blockfolio and this nigga dethroned my previous mvp ark.

Since you're back, what do you think of blockcoin? Also a decentralized exchange meme

 No.363

>>361
Blockcoin? You mean blocknet maybe? Blocknet is a solid project. Seems like they have proven to be serious. I think it could actually become something big. We need DEX.

 No.367

I was thinking of throwing a very little amount of money in some altcoins to see what happens. For now i was thinking about buying some Lisk, cause people is stupid and in theory with java it should be simplier to use, Verge because it can be used in darknet and between the less valued ones is one of those which can grow more, and Ethereum cause i hope it will take the place of BTC when it falls and because it can be used to buy EOS. Anyway i'm a total noob so i'm quito open to your reccomendations, lain.
Remember that i have little starting capital, so i prefer more risk and more opportunities to security.

 No.368

Oh man i wonder if OP regrets his investments now. Unless you know your soykaf about crypto and can actually judge how succesful a coin can become you shouldnt see the crypto bubble as anything different than any other bubble.

Your post is filled with misinformation nigger. This crypto has zero darknet potential.
Let's take a closer look at the developers website, shall we?

https://forum.bitbay.market/t/installation-and-updating
>We can issue moderation keys available by request to any person or agency interested in removing markets. We hope that this will make it self-governing.
This is not what self-governing means. This means there is a centralized power (the developers) which can give regulation power to any intelligence, law-enforcement agency or civilian to ban markets at will. This is a centralized currency with a crypto flavor.

>although a moderator can remove a market, ban a user’s IP address, their wallet and various other identifying information such as their public key.

So, at any time, someone can hop along and ban my public key, making me unable to access any of the money I put in it?

Cryptocoins, the future? The future is when you pull yourselves together and get the l33t programmmming ski111lz you think you have. The future is when you die alone.
